Privacy Policy
What LendULab collects when you ask to be matched with a mortgage broker, who receives it, and how our calls, emails and text messages work.
1. Introduction
LendULab ("we," "us," "our") operates the lendulab.com website, a free service that connects people looking to buy a home, refinance, or take cash out of their home equity with licensed mortgage brokers and lenders.
We are not a mortgage lender, mortgage broker, or loan originator. We do not take applications, do not make credit decisions, do not issue loan commitments, and are not registered with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS). We introduce you to licensed professionals who do those things.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using our site or submitting our form, you agree to it. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide: what you enter in our matching form. For a mortgage match that includes your name, email address, mobile number, the property's ZIP code, property type and how it is used, an estimated property value or purchase price, your current mortgage balance, an estimated credit score range, your employment status, and whether you or your spouse has served in the military.
Estimates, not documents: we ask for ranges rather than exact figures, and we do not ask for or store your Social Security number, account numbers, pay stubs, or tax returns. A broker will collect what an application actually requires, directly from you.
Information collected automatically: device and usage information (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring links) and campaign attribution parameters that record which advertisement or partner referred you.
Consent records: to document your agreement to be contacted, we capture the time of your submission, the exact consent language shown to you, and independent consent-certification tokens (for example, TrustedForm) that record how the form was completed.
3. We Do Not Pull Your Credit
Asking to be matched does not affect your credit score. LendULab does not obtain your credit report and does not perform a soft or hard credit inquiry. The credit range you give us is your own estimate, used only to route you to brokers who work with that range.
A broker or lender you choose to proceed with will run their own credit check, with your authorisation, at the point you apply. That inquiry is theirs and is governed by their disclosures, not by this policy.
4. How We Use Your Information
To match you: we use what you tell us to identify licensed brokers whose products, credit criteria, and state licences fit your situation, and to pass your request to them.
To reach you: to contact you about your request and the matches we found, by phone, email, or text, in line with the consent you gave.
To operate the service: to prevent fraud and duplicate submissions, to measure which campaigns work, to meet our record-keeping obligations, and to improve the site.
We do not use your information to make credit decisions, because we do not make them.
6. Calls, Email & Text Messaging (TCPA)
With your consent, LendULab and the mortgage brokers and lenders we match you with may contact you by phone, email, or text about your request — including with automated or pre-recorded calls and automated texts, and including at a number on a state or federal Do Not Call list.
Consent to be contacted is not a condition of any purchase, of being matched, or of obtaining any loan. You can ask to be matched and simply not answer.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not by itself stop calls or email — tell us, or tell the broker directly, if you want those to stop too.
You may revoke consent at any time, by any reasonable means, including replying STOP, telling a caller to stop calling, or using the contact options on our site. A revocation reaches us and the brokers we have already introduced you to; it cannot recall a call already in progress.
7. Fair Lending
We do not ask for your race, colour, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, or receipt of public assistance, and we do not use any such characteristic to decide which brokers see your request.
We ask about military service only because eligibility for a VA loan materially changes which brokers can help you and on what terms — never to exclude anyone from a match.
Brokers and lenders are independently subject to the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and the Fair Housing Act. If you believe you have been treated unlawfully by one of them, you may complain to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau or the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
9. Data Security & Retention
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of what we handle, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the service, to document consent for the period carrier rules and the TCPA's statute of limitations require, and to meet our other legal obligations — after which it is deleted or de-identified.
10. Your Choices & Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time using the contact options on our site. Note that we cannot delete it from a broker's systems on your behalf — ask them directly, and we will tell you who received your request.
California residents: you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If you are in a jurisdiction with additional privacy rights, we honour applicable access, rectification, erasure, and objection rights.
11. Children
Our services are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
13. Contact Us
